If you plant for a year, plant grain. If you plant for ten years, plant trees. If you plant for a 100 years, plant men. If you plant for eternity, plant the word.

-Unknown

This reminded me of how important God's word really is! Of course I know most of us know that God's word is important, but lately God has been showing me in so many different ways, how life-giving and freeing his word is to us as believers. In the authority of Jesus Christ, spoken by his word, the devil has to flee and has to obey according to his word. Therefore in ministering to people, whether preaching or one-on-one mentoring, by speaking God's word in prayer or encouragement, things have to change! His word is active and living and breathing! A lot of times you hear people praying for others with words of human wisdom, and while that is not necessarily bad or wrong, I believe a more effective and powerful way to minister is to pray God's word over peoples lives and situations. There is a book called "Praying God's word" by ( i don't know yet.) April Lupo is actually reading it right now, so I will get the official 411 on it and post it next time. But from what she has shared with me so far, it sounds awesome! Til next time, grace and peace, Ams

God is not interested in our good works or our rules. There is nothing we can do, nothing we can offer Him as a Holy God that He can accept - except our faith in Jesus Christ...

-Jack Winter

This particular qoute hit me hard because it reminded me that there literally is nothing that I can do or be that would be acceptable to a Holy God! All that I have, all that I can give is my FAITH in Jesus Christ!!!! Remember, even our GOOD deeds are filthy rags in comparison to his Holiness! This makes my soul rest in his presence! My soul can be still and know that he is God and have "perfect" peace! This is why my God is the "love of my life!"

Success is going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.

-Winston Churchill

Hi everyone! So I guess I am guilty of xanga abandonment due to the myspace frenzy, anyhoo I am back now and I will try to keep up with all my xanga peeps!

God has been doing so many amazing things in my life to name just one, I am officially in a new season of life. A little scary yes, but exciting none the less. I feel like some of the grace from the last season has lifted and now it is time to step up my game and rise to the challenge of becoming the woman God has designed me to be in order to do what he has called/created me to do! The unknown is always risky and to face your fears is never easy. But here I go...........into the season of becoming the ME that God has always seen and believed in me to be! All of my inadequacies, weaknesses, and insecurities are staring back at me, but I know that if I do not face them and overcome them, they will prevent me from being excellent at what I am called to be excellent in! When I am weak, He is strong, for his POWER is perfected in my weakness! Praise God.

Until next time...........as Paul said, Grace and Peace to all the saints in Tallahassee!
